There are a lot of factors at play: neck width & depth, scale length, fret size, fretboard radius, string gauge. Everything on the Heritage works together in harmony, including fatter frets and a flatter fretboard radius (plus, the frets on my Strat are worn and it's crying for a good setup). 90' thick neck and 1 11/16' and a lot of shoulders can feel slimmer than my Strat with a 1 5/8' wide, skinny depth neck. I go back and forth between Gibsons & Fenders all the time. in sound - but the construction is so different.).īUT. Arguably, the scale length difference between Fender & Gibson/Epiphone would make more of a difference (esp. I was just giving you the technical info, but it's not that radical of a difference. If you've played any Gibson/Epiphone Les Paul, SG, 335, etc and it felt OK to you, the Casino will feel fine. Not much wider just a bit wider (1/16 of an inch)! It's the difference between just about any standard Gibson guitar and any standard Fender guitar.
